Composition :

Each 100 gm Contains: –

 Flumequine …………………………….. 20 gm

Properties :

Flumequine is an anti-infective for synthesizing quinolone . It acts on the nucleic acid level by blocking the DNA replication of the bacteria. Is the molecular target DNA gyrase , involved in the spiral winding of the DNA.

Flumequine has a dose-dependent bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria. It also has activity on certain Gram-positive bacteria ( including Staphylococcus ) .

Indications  :

In calves , sheep and goats:

– Treatment of infected digestive infections caused by Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp environment.

– Treatment of infected respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Manheimia haemolytica environment.

In broiler chickens :

– Treatment of infected respiratory , digestive and septicemic infections caused by Escherichia coli , Salmonella sp environment. and Pasteurella spp.

Rabbits:

– Treatment of infected digestive infections caused by Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp environment.

– Treatment of infected respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Manheimia haemolytica environment.

Target species: 

Calves, sheep, goats, broiler chickens , rabbits.

Dosage & administration :-

 Orally  via drinking water .

Calves ,  sheep and goats  :

60 mg flumeqcity per kg body weight  per day for 5 days .

Rabbits & poultry  :

60 mg flumeqcity  per Kg body weight (6 gm/ 10 liter) per dayfor 5 days orally with amount of medicating drinking water consumed by animals .

Contra-indications :                    

Do not use in animals  with known hypersensitivity to quinolones .

Do not use in laying birds .

Withdrawal time :

Meat and offal : 2 days.

Milk: 2 days.

Eggs: In the absence of  waiting time for eggs, do not use in producing species eggs for consumption , four weeks before  the start  of  lay and during it.

Storage  Conditions :

Store at temp. not exceeding 30̊C in dry place , used after opening for 28 days at temp. not exceeding 30̊C in dry place & used after  reconstitution  for 24 hrs at temp. not exceeding  30̊C.
