Composition:

Each 100 gm contains:

Ampicillin Trihydrate 20.0gm

(Eq. to Ampicillin  base 17.32 gm)

Properties:

Ampicillin is an antibiotic of the beta-lactam, it has bactericidal activity by acting on the wall of bacteria when in the multiplication phase. Its spectrum of activity includes not only Gram-positive bacteria (streptococci, staphylococci, corynebacteria.), But also some Gram-negative bacteria, including Enterobacteriaceae, such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Proteus.

Target Species:

Calves, sheep, goats, and poultry

Indication:

In calves: Treatment of bacterial enteritis caused by E. coli and bacterial pneumonia caused by Pasteurella species susceptible to ampicillin

Sheep and goats:
– Treatment of septicemia, digestive infections, respiratory infections and genitourinary infections caused by germs sensitive to ampicillin(.
streptococci, staphylococci, corynebacteria bacteria ,and  Enterobacteriaceae, such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Proteus

poultry: 

– Treatment of septicemia, digestive infections, respiratory infections and genitourinary infections caused by germs sensitive to ampicillin. (streptococci, staphylococci, corynebacteria.), and Enterobacteriaceae, such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Proteus

Dosage and Administration:

For Active ingredient:

Calves ,Sheep and goats:
Ampicillin trihydrate 10 mg per kg body weight, orally, twice daily for 3 to 5 days
poultry:
Ampicillin trihydrate 20 mg per kg body weight per day orally in drinking water for 3 days
For whole Product:

Calves ,Sheep and goats:
500 mg / 10 kg body weight twice daily for 3-5 days

poultry:

10gm / 100 kg body weight (10 gm for 10 litter drinking water)  twice daily for 3-5 days

Contra-indications:

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to beta-lactams.
Do not administer to rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or gerbils.
Withdrawal time:

Calves ,Sheep and goats

Meat and offal: 8 days.

Poultry:

Meat: 8 days
Egg:  4 weeks before the start of laying and during it.
Storage condition:

  • In dry and cool place away from direct sun light

Packing:

  • Polyethylene bag inside a tin pack of  500 gm and 1000  gm.
