Composition: –
Each 100 gm of Diaprim Contains: –
Sulfadiazine Sodium 10.0 gm
Trimethoprim 2.0 gm
Properties and Indications: –
Diaprim is a bactericidal chemotherapeutic agent that depends on the synergistic action of both Sulfadiazine and Trimethoprim which ensure a broad spectrum effect against gm negative and gm positive bacteria infecting poultry, calves, sheep. The well absorption and good solubility` of the powder gives the product a great therapeutic effect in the treatment of enteric infections caused by salmonella and E.Coli also respiratory tract infections caused by staphylococcus and streptococcus . It is effective in the treatment of omphalitis and the treatment of fowl cholera caused by pasteurella infections.
Dosage and Administration: –
Poultry: Dose One gm / 1 liter of drinking water continue treatment for 5 day.
N.B: Not used for Layers
Calves, Lambs
Dose: 100mg / kg body weight, continue treatment for 5 days.
Withdrawal Period:
Animals and birds not be slaughtering within 10 days from the last treatment.
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place
